Sola 03:13
By Your Word alone our eyes have seen Your salvation; Through faith alone, not by the works of our hands; By Your grace alone we’re purchased from every nation; Through Christ alone we stand. To God alone be all the glory! Lead us now, O King, in the worship of Your name; Make us pure and clean, Tune our hearts to sing Your praise. Lord, we long to bring something worthy of Your fame: Through Your Word accept our praise; Through Your Word accept our praise.
2.
All people that on earth do dwell, Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice; Him serve with joy, His praise forth tell, Come ye before Him and rejoice. Know that the Lord is God indeed; Without our aid He did us make; We are His folk, He doth us feed, And for His sheep He doth us take. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship Him with gladness; Come before Him with joyful songs! Praise the Lord, all the earth! Enter with thanksgiving; Shout for joy to God, all the earth! O enter then His gates with praise, Approach with joy His courts unto; Praise, laud, and bless His name always, For it is seemly so to do. For why? The Lord our God is good, His mercy is forever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, And shall from age to age endure. For the Lord is good, And His love endureth forever, And His faithfulness continues through all generations.
3.
Angels, from the realms of glory, Wing your flight o'er all the earth; You who sang creation's story, Now proclaim Messiah's birth. Shepherds, in the fields abiding, Watching o'er your flocks by night, God with man is now residing, Yonder shines the infant Light: Come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn King! Saints, before the altar bending, Watching long in hope and fear; Suddenly the Lord, descending, In His temple shall appear: All creation, join in praising God the Father, Spirit, Son; Evermore your voices raising To th’eternal Three in One: Lift up your heads, you mighty gates; Be lifted up, you ancient doors. That the King of Glory may come in, Let the King of Glory now come in. All hail! All hail King Jesus! All hail! All hail Immanuel! All hail! All hail King Jesus! All hail! All hail the Prince of Peace!
4.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on. I have seen Him in the watchfires of a hundred circling camps, They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on, His day is marching on. Glory, hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory, hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory, hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory, hallelujah! Hallelujah! He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of all before His judgment seat. O be swift, my soul, to answer Him; be jubilant my feet! Our God is marching on, Our God is marching on. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glorious light inside Him that transfigures you and me; As He died to make us holy, let us live to make all free, While God is marching on, While God is marching on.
5.
Once more we come before our God; Once more His blessings ask: O may not duty seem a load, Nor worship prove a task. Father, Thy quick’ning Spirit send From heav’n in Jesus’ Name. To make our waiting minds attend, And put our souls in frame. Be all the glory Thine. Be all the glory Thine. We praise Your Name divine. Be all the glory Thine. May we receive the Word we hear, Each in an honest heart, And keep the precious treasure there, And never with it part! Glory to Your Name! Glory to Your Name! Glory to Your Name! Glory to Your Name! Worthy is Your Name! Worthy is Your Name! Worthy is Your Name! Worthy is Your Name! Revive the parched with heav’nly showers, The cold with warmth divine, And as the benefit is ours, Be all the glory Thine!
6.
Firm and unmoved are they That rest their souls on God; Firm as the mount where David dwelt, Or where the ark abode. What though the Father’s rod Give out a chast’ning stroke? Yet, lest it wound their souls too deep, Its fury shall be broke. As mountains stood to guard the city’s sacred ground, So God and His almighty love embrace His saints around. Deal gently, Lord, with those Whose faith is pious fear, Whose hope and love and every grace, Proclaim their hearts sincere. Nor shall the tyrant’s rage too long oppress the saint. The LORD, He will support His children lest they faint. But if our slavish fear will choose the road to hell, Our portion will be there where bolder sinners dwell. Deal gently, Lord. Deal gently, Lord. Deal gently, Lord. Deal gently, Lord.
7.
Hail, Thou once despised Jesus! Hail, Thou Galilean King! Thou didst suffer to release us; Thou didst free salvation bring. Hail, Thou agonizing Savior, Bearer of our sin and shame! By Thy merits we find favor; Life is given through Thy name. Paschal Lamb, by God appointed, All our sins on Thee were laid; By almighty love anointed, Thou hast full atonement made. All Thy people are forgiven Through the virtue of Thy blood; Opened is the gate of heaven; Reconciled are we with God. Worship honor, pow'r, and blessing Christ is worthy to receive; Loudest praises, never ceasing, Right it is for us to give. Jesus, hail! enthroned in glory, There forever to abide; All the heav'nly hosts adore Thee, Seated at Thy Father's side. There for sinners Thou art pleading; There Thou dost our place prepare; Ever for us interceding Till in glory we appear. Worship honor, pow'r, and blessing Christ is worthy to receive; Loudest praises, never ceasing, Right it is for us to give. Help, ye bright angelic spirits, Now your loudest anthem raise! Help to sing of Jesus’ merits, Help to chant Immanuel's praise! To Him who sits on the throne And to the Lamb be praise And honor and glory and power, forever!
8.
Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness My beauty are, my glorious dress; Though born in sin, in these arrayed, With joy shall I lift up my head! Bold shall I stand in Thy great day; Cleansed and redeemed, no debt to pay. Fully absolved in Jesus’ name From sin and fear, from guilt and shame; From sin and fear, from guilt and shame! When from the dust of death I rise, To claim my mansion in the skies; Even then this shall be all my plea: Jesus has lived and died for me! Lord, I believe Thy precious blood, Which, at the mercy seat of God, Forever does for sinners plead, For me, and for my soul was shed; For me, and for my soul was shed! O let the dead now hear Thy voice; Now bid Thy banished ones rejoice; Their beauty this, their glorious dress: Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness!
9.
Jesus Christ is risen today; Our triumphant holy day, Who did once upon the cross Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia. Hymns of praise then let us sing, Unto Christ our heavenly King, Who endured the cross and grave, Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia. But the pains that He endured, Our salvation have procured. Now above the sky He's King, Where the angels ever sing. We fall down to the ground: Glory to the King! Overcome by the sound as the heavens sing! We will rise, lift our eyes to the Lord of Hosts! Raising hands, lifting hearts: Glory to the Most High God!
10.
Pity a helpless sinner, Lord, Who would believe Thy gracious Word. But, O! my heart with shame and grief, A sink of sin and unbelief. Lord, in Thy house, I read there’s room, And venturing hard, behold, I come. But can there, tell me, can there be Amongst Thy children room for me? I eat the bread and drink the wine, But, O, my soul wants more than sign! I faint unless I feed on Thee, And drink the blood as shed for me. Lord, I believe Thy grace is free. O, magnify that grace in me. For sinners, Lord, Thou cam’st to bleed, And I’m a sinner vile, indeed. Lord, I believe Thy grace is free. O magnify that grace in me.
11.
How firm a foundation, you saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word. What more can He say than to you He has said To you, who for refuge to Jesus have fled? “Fear not, I am with you, O be not dismayed. For I am your God, and will still give you aid. I'll strengthen you, help you and cause you to stand Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.” God is our refuge! The Lord Almighty is with us! God is our fortress! We will be still and know that You are God. “When through the deep waters I call you to go, The rivers of sorrow shall not overflow; For I will be with you your troubles to bless, And sanctify to you your deepest distress.” “When through fiery trials, your pathway shall lie. My grace all-sufficient will be your supply; The flame shall not hurt you, I only design Your dross to consume, and your gold to refine.” You are God of the heavens. You are God of the earth. I will not fear. I will not fear, though the earth give way, Though the mountains fall into the sea I will not fear, for my God is strong, And I know one day He’ll deliver me!
12.
O Splendor of God’s glory bright, From light eternal bringing light, O Light of light, the fountain spring, O Day, all days illumining: Come, very Sun of heaven’s love, In lasting radiance from above, And pour the Holy Spirit’s ray On all we think or do today, On all we think or do today. Confirm our will to do the right, And keep our hearts from envy’s blight; Let faith her eager fires renew, And hate the false and love the true, And hate the false and love the true. Glory be to the Father, And to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. And now to You our prayers ascend, O Father, glorious without end; We plead with Sovereign Grace for power To conquer in temptation’s hour, To conquer in temptation’s hour. All praise to God the Father be, All praise, eternal Son, to Thee, Whom with the Spirit we adore Forever and forevermore. Glory be to the Father, And to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, Is now, and ever shall be: World without end! Amen.

about

www.zachicks.com
Without Our Aid is an energetic modern worship album, recorded with a live sound and feel--big drums and electrics, soaring vocals, verby synths, and lots of crowd noise. All the music is original, but the lyrics are made up of Christian hymns from the fourth through the nineteenth centuries. The combination of all of these things makes Without Our Aid an utterly unique project.
